You should replace your toothbrush as soon as it becomes worn out, or opt to change it every 3 months—the sooner, the better.

Additionally, always remember to replace your toothbrush after recovering from a cold.  Toothbrush bristles can trap and harbor bacteria, which may cause the cold to come back.
