Toothbrush Usage & Maintenance Tips
1. Rinse and shake thoroughly to dry. After brushing your teeth, rinse the brush head repeatedly with clean water and then shake vigorously to remove moisture. In Africa’s hot climate, damp brush heads are prone to bacterial growth — shaking dry can reduce bacterial residue.
2. Store in a well-ventilated, dry place. Avoid placing your toothbrush in damp bathroom corners. It is recommended to hang it in a well-ventilated spot or place it in a toothbrush holder with ventilation holes to prevent the brush head from getting moldy.
3. Replace regularly, no longer than 3 months. The bristles of a medium-bristle toothbrush will gradually deform with use, leading to reduced cleaning effectiveness and potential dirt buildup. It is advisable to replace your toothbrush every 2–3 months. If the bristles are already bent or deformed, replace it immediately. One toothbrush per person — do not share
4. Never share toothbrushes with family members to prevent cross-infection. This is a basic habit to safeguard the oral health of your whole family. For optimal oral health protection, pair our medium-bristle toothbrushes (designed to suit local habits) with OLEMOL fluoridated toothpaste!
